leadership coaching

I coach a select number of clients out of a love of leadership and a passion for making employees lives better through improved leadership. To me, leadership is a sacred responsibility and the research is clear: how you lead your employees directly affects not only their performance at work but also their life outside of work. As such, my goal is to help you improve your leadership skill set so your followers can thrive.

In my mind, coaching only works when we are aligned in terms of purpose and goals. If you would like to meet to discuss a coaching relationship, I will make it easy. There will be no sales pitches (then or ever) and I won't offer coaching unless I feel I can provide some value to you. Our first meeting is simply an opportunity for us to meet each other.

Why Authentik?

People are my Purpose. I'm not here to make a few buck and then move on - I'm here to make better, more confident leaders. I've been doing it in the classroom for the past 11 years and in my community for the past 4. If you want a person-focused coach, then I'm probably a good fit for you.

Expertise & Experience. I've been a leader in some capacity for the past 20+ years. A graduate of West Point, a platoon leader and troop commander in the U.S. Army, two combat deployments to Iraq totaling over 25 months in theater, a PhD from Florida State University, the director for NAU's Institute for Public and Professional Ethics in Leadership, and a rock rescue technician on my local Search and Rescue Team. These aren't positions I held for a few days or were things I can just tag onto a resume - these are positions that shaped me as a leader. I encourage you to ask me about them if you'd like more information.

Thought Leader. A lot of coaches you meet will be guiding you using material they read on Harvard Business Review or MIT's Sloan Management Review or in books and academic articles. Those coaches are probably reading what I wrote. I've written numerous articles for HBR and SMR, published a book, and coauthored over twenty academic articles on leadership and leadership-related topics.

coaching costs

I believe coaching should be affordable and in the best interest of the client. As such there is no minimum number of sessions to sign up for and the counseling is conducted when you need it or at an interval that is most effective for you. Clients are accepted based on fit and on a first come first serve basis.

First Call. Our first meeting is free and will give us an opportunity to meet each other and to see if we are a match.
