Training and motivating teams is our specialty. Whether you want dynamic talks that keep your team engaged, hands-on activities that produce real growth in your leaders before the end of the session, or a discussion-based program that lets everyone have a voice - Authentik can do it all.
We are always willing to work with clients on developing talks or keynotes relevant to your organization and your leaders, so don't hesitate to reach out and let us know what you need. However, if you are looking for pre-made ideas for your next session, look below for a few options or reach out for our full suite of prepared talks.
Trainings can be made to fit nearly any length, any setting, and any number of sessions.
Before the Dilemma: Determining your Values
Leaders who wait until they face a moral dilemma to define their values are setting themselves up for failure. By the time we are faced with making decisions in morally grey areas, it's too late to set up a clear and unbiased set of values. In the first part of this session, Charn explains the importance of having an articulated set of personal values using a highly kinetic situation he faced during a combat situation in Iraq. After, the group works through an exercise designed to help leaders identify and define their own personal value systems so that they can then go and test them prior to facing their next dilemma. All leaders will walk away from this class with several codified personal values identified and the knowledge necessary to create a complete set of values over time.
We Get Better Together: Conquering Counseling
Don't let performance counseling be a wasted experience. The leaders who look at counseling as a chore and something that detracts from their day-to-day responsibilities are missing out on an opportunity to help their followers - and themselves - grow. In this session, we will teach leaders how to prepare for counseling, conduct the counseling, and follow-up/complete post-counseling responsibilities. If your organization has more time, counseling activities are available to supplement the training!
And Then What Happened? Leveraging Storytelling as a Leader
Storytelling - it's not just for bedtime anymore! As a society, we transmit our most important lessons through stories because stories stick with us. It's one thing to say that, as a leader or an organization, that your values are Respect, Loyalty, and Kindness. It's quite another to tell a succinct and engaging story about how your values came to be. In this session, we will discuss the key elements of a good story, how best to deliver your story, and when to use this skill at work and in life.
Don't Drop the Ball: Learning How to Learn through Juggling
Learning is a pre-requisite in every job and organization. Yet, when was the last time we learned a new skill with a clear fail condition? Most people answer with either "learning how to swim" or "learning how to ride a bike." After a discussion on learning, that covers the science, the practice, and why we need to become better learners, we will break out the juggling balls and start learning a new skill right then and there. Juggling builds confidence in individuals and the process of learning builds camaraderie between the members of your team. Charn has been teaching people how to juggle for 30 years and is a master juggler; he will ensure this session is a blast and just a bit different than every other training your team has tried.
